Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Sophie brings a unique combination of frontline healthcare experience and medical recruitment expertise to the Nursing team at Jon & Jon Medical.

Before moving to Sydney, Sophie spent five years working as a Paramedic in Auckland, giving her first-hand insight into the realities of working in healthcare. After relocating to Australia, she made the move into medical recruitment in 2023 and hasn't looked back.

Her clinical background means Sophie genuinely understands the demands placed on healthcare professionals, from long shifts and changing rosters to the importance of finding a workplace where you feel supported and valued.

Life Outside the Office

Adventure is a pretty big theme in Sophie's life outside work.

Her partner is an Olympic sailor, and together they love travelling the world whenever they get the opportunity. When they're closer to home, they're just as happy packing up for a weekend of hiking and camping.

They particularly love coastal camping or heading completely off-grid into the bush, with Turon Gates being a favourite escape.

And completing the family is Freddie, their very fluffy Japanese Spitz, who is never too far from the action.
